Depression Counseling

In-Person in Boulder & Online throughout Colorado

Depression isn’t just feeling sad—it can feel like moving through life with the weight turned up too high, like everything takes more effort than it should.

Maybe your motivation has disappeared, or the things that once brought you joy don’t feel the same. Maybe it’s harder to get out of bed, or the world feels distant, like you’re watching life happen from behind a glass wall. Whether depression is something you’ve struggled with for years or something that’s crept in more recently, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

In therapy, we’ll explore what depression feels like for you—because it’s different for everyone. Instead of trying to force your way out of it, we’ll take the time to understand it, to recognize the patterns and beliefs that might be keeping you stuck, and to find ways to reconnect with the parts of life that feel meaningful. My approach includes mindfulness, body-based techniques, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), all aimed at helping you feel more present, more connected, and less weighed down.

Depression has a way of telling you that nothing will change. That you’ll always feel this way. That it’s too hard, or not worth the effort. But the truth is, change is possible—even if it doesn’t happen all at once. Sometimes, healing looks like big shifts, but more often, it looks like small moments of relief adding up over time. Together, we’ll work to create more of those moments, at a pace that feels manageable for you.

If you’re feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsure of where to start, that’s okay. You don’t have to do this alone, and you don’t have to have it all figured out to take the first step.Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sounds like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.
